Introduction of Department

The Department of English at the Govt.College of Science envisions a broad based need oriented approach at the various wings of its academia; the graduate and undergraduate programmes that prepare students for various services along with the ELT section that trains students in their various language skills to follow university courses. Adopting the time tested traditions of English language and literature along with the changing needs of the Pakistani society as well as the Muslim Ummah is one of the main goals followed here. The university staff has worked hard to evolve syllabi that prepare students in the light of modern linguistic, literary and sociocultural research. The department is not only helping students acquire a sound foothold in their English language proficiency but also engaged in running degree programmes in BS 4 Year Degree Program.
